1. Ikea Vimle Sofa
The sofa with chaise is $899 at Ikea which I think is a great price for such a comfortable and functional piece! I think it looks and feels more expensive than it is. The other thing to mention is that IKEA has a 10-year warrantee on all of their sofas, so make sure you keep the receipt! Which brings me to the second winning aspect of the Vimle sofa – it also comes in small boxes which means it can be moved easily in small homes, condos, rooms and, in our case, through our unusually small basement door. We bought the sectional with chaise version of this particular couch, so it was an extra box. Super simple, super available, super affordable, probably not super easy to assemble. It’s an Ikea product. Its upholstery can be zipped off and washed in a machine.
2. Burrow Sofa
Burrow Sofa product one style that resembles the Florence Knoll sofa, in five colors and with high or low armrests. Reversible seat cushions are tufted and smooth. The best thing about the Burrow is its fluffy cushions, they’re bouncy and provide just the right amount of tuft, while the couch’s construction is sturdy and structured, so you actually have back support. It is extremely shallow, and upright. To me, it felt like I was sitting in a more padded airplane seat. The bottom line is that if you are looking for an affordable sofa that is delivered quickly and can be assembled by one person easily, or you live in a walk-up with tight stairs that disallow single-piece furniture from making it up, the Burrow sofa fits the bill. It is comfortable, well-proportioned, and does everything you want a sofa to do, and with enough style to get you into your early- to mid-20s. But, it will probably not last you more than 2-3 years, and a lot of intense use or moving it around will probably make it last 12-18 months before needing significant repairs.
3. Floyd Sofa
Once you get all your boxes into your house or apartment, open them, and remove all the pieces. After that, putting the couch together is a breeze, even with just one person. With two, it would make things even easier. Its cushions collapsed inward on themselves, leaving the whole thing looking sad and deflated as if the couch itself knew its time had come and had accepted, though reluctantly, its own impending doom. The breaking of a leg was the final straw, so to speak. The couch was lame, and it had to be put down. However, a word of warning during these days of front porch package thieves, since the couch comes in so many boxes, it is imperative to be home at the time of delivery. You do not want someone to run off with the legs to your chaise or your back cushions and wind up with only a semi-useful sofa.

5. Normann Copenhagen Swell Sofa
Swell by Normann Copenhagen is a minimalistsofa with a playful, light-hearted feel. Its soft, curved shapes make it both inviting and fantastic to sit on. The name Swell is a reference to rising bread with its full shape, consisting of a robust padded back and seat and two bulky armrests. Normann Copenhagen is one of the biggest European design outlets in the world, and its Swell Sofa is a prime example why. It does away with clean lines and sharp form, and instead opts for a super-cushy, beanbags-in-couch form approach. The name Swell is a reference to rising bread with its full shape, consisting of a robust padded back and seat and two bulky armrests. The stitching on the back and the seats divides the sofa into sections and completes the feel. Swell is available in 21 mottled colors. The range makes it easy to find a sofa suitable for any decor by encompassing everything from neutral grey and brownish tones to deep and tranquil shades of blue and purple as well as energetic and bright yellow, green and red and a classic black.

7. Room & Board Easton Sectional
Room & Board may seem antiquated compared with newer and shinier furniture-making companies, but those other companies have nothing on R&B-level quality. The frame of its Easton Sectional is made by hand from kiln-dried hardwood. The cushions are spring, foam, down and feathers. Take modern relaxation to a new level of style. Easton sectional has plush spring-and-down cushions with a low, lounge design. The thin arms mean more room for seating, while the linear profile creates a contemporary look at a great value.
8. Article Sven Birch Sectional
There are a lot of pretty sofas out there, but they aren’t all comfortable. If this is a sofa that you are going to be sitting on a lot over the years, don’t sacrifice comfort for style. The goal, of course, is to find a sofa with both. That’s what I found with Article’s Sven sofa. There’s a reason this is our most popular sofa. This modern take on a mid-century classic features crisp lines, a tufted bench seat, and two luxuriously stuffed back cushions. Two matching round bolsters complete the look.
