LED luminaire lumens is the measure of light emitted by the luminaire. While the LEDs might generate 10,000 light source lumens, what matters is the light that actually leaves the luminaire. Koninklijke Philips N.V. is a Dutch multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Amsterdam, one of the largest electronics companies in the world, currently focused in the area of healthcare and lighting. Philips Lighting, which is traded as LIGHT on the Amsterdam stock exchange, is to change its name to Signify. The company said in a statement that ‘the choice of our new name originates from the fact that light becomes an intelligent language, which connects and conveys meaning. Their purpose is to unlock the extraordinary potential of light for brighter lives and a better world. Signify is the new company name of Philips Lighting. We are the world leader in lighting and provide our customers with high-quality, energy-efficient lighting products, systems and services.

2. Osram

Osram

Osram

OSRAM Light AG is a multinational lighting manufacturer headquartered in Munich, Germany. OSRAM was founded in 1919 by the merger of the lighting businesses of Auergesellschaft, Siemens & Halske and Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft. Osram Silver Star and Sylvania Silver Star are manufactured by the same company, but are not the same bulb. The Sylvania product is an “extra white” bulb with blue glass. They have an unreasonably short lifespan and produce less light, not more, than a standard bulb. LED lights are brighter than halogen, and most LED fog lights have a cooler colour temperature. This means they produce a whiter light that’s easier on the eyes. They also match the look of xenon HID headlights much better than a halogen bulb could.

Fortunately, because they are cool to the touch and simply dim over time, LED lights do not present these hazards. … With this in mind, it’s a good idea to turn off your LED lights at night so the transformer has time to cool down and avoid the risk of overheating.
