1. Hikvision

Hikvision

Hikvision

Hikvision is one of the largest manufacturers of CCTV surveillance cameras. Their IP cameras feature megapixel resolution, wide dynamic range and remote zoom and auto focus lenses. They have very large selections of megapixel IP cameras, ranging from economical dome IP cameras to high performance PTZ cameras. Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer and world’s largest supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, China. Its controlling shares are owned by the Chinese government. So apart from the annoying set-up, everything is looking good for the Hikvision. However, it does falter on possibly the most important aspect of a CCTV camera, and that is picture quality. It is not bad, but I feel it is just not as good as the Ezviz in particular at night time. All HIKVISION IP cameras with firmware version v5.5.0 or higher. User interface may not be identical to the instructions shown below depending on the product and firmware version. However, the information and settings required to enable ONVIF function is similar across all supporting products.

3. Zicom

Zicom

Zicom

The company has pocketed the AMC amount without providing any service at all. Only interested in selling the product. My complaint no.28608 is pending since 17.1.13 but till date no action has been taken to provide genuine spares to make the alarm system operative. After paying rupees forty thousand for the system, it is rendered useless after one year. Recently they have changed their service policy, as per which Zicom will not serve on the complaints, however the customer will have to contact the retailer from whom the product was purchased and they do not bother about service once the product is sold. Zicom and partners wait till the time the warranty is over and then ask the customer to pay for the visit charges and repair charges even if it is the same problem reported with in the warranty period.

4. Sony Corporation

Sony Corporation

Sony Corporation

The Sony bullet camera is a day/night 1080p, IP66 and IK8 bullet camera with a motorized 3-9mm F1.2 lens giving 3x optical zoom and auto focus, a 1/2.8-inch type Exmor R CMOS image sensor and XDNR processing, which Sony says improves low-light performance, delivering a minimum scene illumination of 0.006 lux (30 IRE) in color mode at up to 60ips in H.264 or JPEG. This camera has a WDR range of 90dB with built-in infrared illumination that’s coupled with Advanced IR technology to capture near and far objects without the flare of IR overexposure. The SNC can view objects in darkness at distances up to 100m (30 IRE) from the camera. There’s also analytics controlled white light, which has a range of 7m and is ideal for use around building entrances. Sony is an unusually good camera that manages its work in ways I’ve not seen before. With its slightly noisy image stream I was prepared to be disappointed, to consider this a camera built to a price. But there’s much more going here. Thanks to Exmor R processing, a quality lens, good autofocus speed and analytics-powered integrated white light, the gets faces and moving license plates in levels of light that would overwhelm most other cameras.

5. Samsung

Samsung

Samsung is a South Korean multinational conglomerate headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. With these you have up to 4 slots for audio microphones which can be assigned to a certain camera within your settings; however, the hard part would be that a security microphone would require you to run a separate line from the DVR to your designated camera. This excellent camera will deliver a crisp-clear video with a Full HD 1080p resolution, and will even keep the area covered when it is dark, thanks to its clear nighttime recording ability. Its night vision extends to up to 130ft. You can install each of the four cameras anywhere outside your home or other premises, and be certain that any intrusion or trespassing will be duly detected, no matter how bad the weather is and how dark it is outside.
